4.16 Nothing As It’s Seems - Recaps & Mega-Theory

Forse mi sbaglio ma il titolo dell’episodio e la frase che scrive Bowman “too good to be true” non promettono niente di buono, soprattutto per la ritrovata coppia Peter+Olivia. Ma no, no, mi sbaglio...
Fringe Nothing As It’s Seems - too good... Fringe Nothing As It’s Seems - to be true.

Creepy.
Fringe Nothing As It’s Seems - Lincoln with the beacon
Bah!

Fringe Nothing As It’s Seems - Reborn sumeric symbol

In una laboratorio pieno di allegria (too good to be true...)
Fringe Nothing As It’s Seems - Moreau who?

Mega-teoria
Il ritorno di Peter o qualcosa andato storto quando è entrato nel Wave Sink, non ha allontanato di molto il futuro del 2026 di 3.22 The Day We Day. Moreau non è morto e con Jones, seguendo le regole dello ZFT, sta dando inizio a una nuova stirpe ibrida per contrastare i First People.

Clue

Maybe I’m wrong but the title and the sentence wrote by Bowman “too good to be true”, doesn’t look very promising, specially for Polivia. But no, no, I’m wrong...

The ep. starts like 1.13 The Transformation: on board the flight 718 Marshall Bowman feels ill, threats an hostess, locks himself into the toilet but... he doesn't transform and the plane doesn't fall.
Peter into the Wave Sink must have changed a lot of things...
Anyways, as if the fate has been written, Bowman became a giant porcupine. Then dies: his organs collapsed because a too much rapid transformation.

Meanwhile Olivia has been suspended, pending further evaluation on her mental state. The meeting with the FBI psychiatrist (that I really hate) reveals that Rachel has never left her husband and she has another son in addition to Ella, Eddie.
Fringe Nothing As It’s Seems - Olivia
On the trails of Hicks, partner of Bowman in the previous timeline, Lincoln is injured by another giant porcupine and he's infected by the same virus. Poor Lincoln, wounded by the beast and frustrated by the relationship between Peter and Olivia, gorges himself with bacon. This will permit Walter to understand that the transformation is fed by human fat.
Creepy.

The other man to find is Conrad Etienne Moreau, as Hicks, in the previous timeline he was the bioterrorist behind the sale of the virus. Dead end: Moreau is dead 5 years ago in a car accident.
Bah!

With the pretext to looking for a sci-fi book (The Lake Of The Long Sun by Gene Wolf, part of a tetralogy of a largest mythology - do you remember anything?), Peter and Olivia ask help to Ed Markham. He doesn't know them but he's ready to help them to decode the tattoo on Bowman-porcupine arm, a sumeric symbol that means ‘rebirth’.
Fringe Nothing As It’s Seems - Ed Markham
This symbol, about an ancient Mayan prophecy (about the 21/12/12 end of the world), is related to a new ‘cult’, a new species in which porcumans are the prototypes. Inavoidably, the investigations carry the Fringe team to Massive Dynamics where David Robert Jones has deleted the files. Walter believe that DRJ is affected by the God complex and he’s trying to controll the miracle (or the accident) of evolution.

In a lab full of joy (too good to be true...) Broyles tells to Olivia that, for the team, is better an Olivia at 40% than no Olivia. Meanwhile a man on a cargo full of containers checks his creatures...

Mega-theory
The return of Peter, or something wrong with the Wave Sink, haven't changed a lot the future seen in 3.22 The Day We Died. Moreau isn’t dead and with Jones, following the ZFT rules, is starting a new hybrid species to contrast the First People.

Clue
I didn't understand why Ari has suggested to rewatch 2.09 Snakehead, till I saw one of the beasts on the cargo...
